Casino Royale – The beginning of something good or beginning of the end?

I have to admit that I’m a James Bond fan and I have seen all Bond movies so far. I have been very disappointed with the 2 movies before Casino Royale. It really felt that Pierce Brosnan couldn’t evolve in the James Bond role any more and the switch was inevitable.
Going into the cinema with basicly no expectations at all, especially after 2 “pre-qual” movies (Batman begins & Superman returns) where one was really good and one was really awful. I must say that I enjoyed watching Casino Royale. The story was believable and the action scenes was for once not just a lot of fancy explosions that just shows off that the director can spend alot of money. Also, Daniel Craig did a really good Bond interputation and I’m already looking forward to the next Bond movie (scheduled for a 2008 release). There was of course a couple of things that bugged me in the movie, but I will not bring them up here. I think that the things that bugged me is pure personal and others might not find them as ignoring as I did.
All in all, this is a great movie that you should see.
