Yesterday, I went and bought a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate. Having been using the RC2 for ages now, I felt it was time to do a clean install of the final version of Vista. So, after just moving the files I wanted to keep, it was time to pop in the DVD and let it install. I must say doing a clean installation of Vista was really fast. It took maybe 15-20 minutes and then it was done. After the installation, I had to re-install Live Messenger and after logging on a pop up window turned up on the screen. It was a promo for “I’m”, the new thing Microsoft is doing to ease their conscience. To take part in the whole thing you just put in a special command line after your user name, then every time you start a conversation with “I’m…” Microsoft will give away money to a charity/organization of your choice. At the moment, this goodwill thing is just active in the US and hopefully it will be available over here soon as well. I know that when this is active, I’m going to be making a difference, are you?
